Rachel Burckhardt, Ph.D., is a program officer for the American Academy of Microbiology at 海角直播. In this position, she supports the Scientific Portfolio on Climate Change and Microbes by organizing multiple colloquia and scientific sessions on microbes’ role in climate change. Previously, she was a Scientific Literature Reviewer at 海角直播 where she connected scientists to the latest COVID-19 research. She earned her Ph.D. in microbiology from the University of Georgia studying bacterial physiology and antimicrobial resistance.
